Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Dauntless provides Supported Independent Living in Maclean, NSW, with shared housing and 1:2 support. Our approach is person-centred — helping people build daily living skills, independence, and connection to their community, while receiving the right level of support to feel safe and settled at home.
Who is Supported Independent Living for?
SIL is designed for NDIS participants who need regular support at home to live safely and independently. It suits people who benefit from shared living with others, alongside dedicated support.
What's included?
Shared housing with 1:2 support (one support worker shared between two residents)
Support with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and budgeting
Support to build skills and independence over time
Support to participate in the local community
A consistent, familiar team of support workers
SIL is funded through your NDIS plan under Core Supports. Your level of funding will depend on your assessed support needs, as determined by the NDIA.
